In 2019 Shaili and I met on Instagram, both creativity coaches, both unpublished writers. Over the pandemic we started having “Creative Accountability” calls as we became increasingly committed to finishing our projects, despite the world being in meltdown.

Our calls were a life line to inspiration. We helped each other get unstuck, see our work through a new perspective, and commit to different experiments to keep a sense of play alive in our work.

We thought our conversations could be useful to other creatives who are also exploring how to create with less pressure and more pleasure, and Idle Writers Club was born!
